Why join Sigma Alpha Epsilon?
At the University of New Hampshire, Greek life isn’t just a community; it’s a powerhouse of over 15,000 members. Within this vibrant network, the New Hampshire Beta chapter of SAE stands out, boasting both local and national recognition. As part of SAE, you gain access to a wealth of resources not only on campus but also across the nation. Today, our fraternity proudly boasts over 220 chapters, with a rich legacy of initiating more than 350,000 brothers into our esteemed brotherhood. By this metric, it is the largest fraternity in the United States.
SAE has a legacy of pioneering initiatives. We were the first fraternity to develop a leadership education program, among the earliest to abolish pledging, and trailblazers in banning hard alcohol from all our events and activities. However, our commitment to innovation isn’t just about making headlines; it’s about making a meaningful impact on real lives.
We take pride in the tough decisions we’ve made because they’ve led to rewarding outcomes. SAE isn’t merely a fraternity; it’s a crucible where men evolve into better individuals, shaping a better world and passing on enduring principles to future generations. Here, men undergo a transformation from who they are to who they aspire to become.
SAE is for those who seek to elevate their collegiate experience, who actively seek out like-minded individuals committed to personal growth, and who are poised to carry the lessons learned here as guiding lights in the world beyond. Join us in this journey of self-discovery and impactful leadership.

THE LEVERE MEMORIAL TEMPLE
The Levere Memorial Temple stands as an iconic landmark within the Greek letter world, representing both a tribute to the past and a beacon of hope for Sigma Alpha Epsilon’s future. This historic structure serves as the esteemed home to the Fraternity Service Center, housing the administrative and management offices of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, including the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity, the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Foundation, and the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Financial and Housing Corporation.
For over 75 years, the Temple has captured the admiration of all who have had the privilege to work within its walls, explore its grand chambers, and even reside beneath its roof. Through meticulous care and dedication, it has been lovingly preserved and safeguarded, standing today as a tangible testament to the visionary aspirations of those who conceived the idea of constructing a national shrine for Sigma Alpha Epsilon many years ago.
