connecting alumni across generations
The Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) chapter at the University of New Hampshire (NHBE) boasts a rich history of alumni engagement and brotherhood that dates back to its campus founding in 1917.
As a Phoenix chapter, NHBE experienced a brief hiatus before rechartering on November 14, 2009, after a five-year period of dormancy. This remarkable rechartering effort was spearheaded by a dedicated group of five individuals, along with the guidance and support of their reounding Chapter Advisor, General Richard M. Hooker ’55 of the Vermont Beta Chapter.
Since then, NHBE has flourished, building upon its legacy of brotherhood, leadership, and service, and maintaining strong connections with its alumni base. The chapter alumnus of NHBE continues to play an integral role in shaping the fraternity’s future, providing mentorship, support, and invaluable contributions to the ongoing success of SAE at the University of New Hampshire.
The NHBE Alumni Association of Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) was established on January 23rd, 2010, with a commitment to advancing scholarship, education, and enhancing chapter facilities. Through strategic partnerships and fundraising efforts, the association has played a pivotal role in the development and improvement of the chapter’s infrastructure and programming.
The NHBE Alumni Association of SAE was established as a 501(c)(3) organization, granting its contributors the benefit of making tax-deductible donations. These donations serve various purposes, including educational initiatives, capital improvement fundraising efforts for the chapter house, and operational expenses for the association.
By leveraging its nonprofit status, the Alumni Association can efficiently allocate resources to support the growth and development of the fraternity, while providing donors with the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to its mission and objectives.
